Companies to initially focus on movie tickets

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – October 25, 2004 – Leading entertainment marketing firm, The Cimarron Group, and expert mobile application service provider, Soapbox Mobile have today announced the development and planned launch of a new wireless transaction service entitled myTicket.

The new service allows consumers to make purchases via their mobile phones with the safety of not having to wirelessly send a credit card number and the convenience of doing so in far fewer steps than any other service available today. While myTicket will launch with movie tickets, it will also be entering the sports and live entertainment arenas.

Consumers who purchase from myTicket will have the opportunity to opt-in to movie-specific and timed promotions that will provide them with special offers relating to movie merchandise, snacks and dining after their movie and future movie-related purchases. And soon they will be receiving movie trailers as well.
