Dan Flanegan

Co-Founder, President & Board Member

Dan Flanegan, President of Soapbox Mobile, is responsible for the company's vision, market leadership and mission of helping companies improve customer communication via the mobile channel. As a recognized expert in the development of software solutions for marketers, Flanegan has worked directly with Fortune 500 companies to create one-to-one marketing tools and services that are easy to use and deliver a superior return on investment.

Prior to founding Soapbox Mobile, Flanegan served as the Director of Product Management for ClickAction Inc. (now Yesmail), a leading e-marketing software and services company. There, he was accountable for designing and implementing the company's email relationship management products. Flanegan has worked hand-in-hand with the marketing teams at some of the world's leading brands, including General Electric, Princess Cruises, New Line Cinema, Brooks Brothers, Nabisco, Coach and Business Week.

At Caere Inc. and Storm Technology, Flanegan supervised the development and marketing for more than twenty high-tech products and services as well as served as an award winning consumer hardware and software product manager.

Flanegan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of California at Los Angeles. From 1994 to 1996, he served as an official appointee to the Governor's Office for the State of California, focusing on entrepreneurial development.

Kevin Granath

Vice President of Sales and Business Development

Kevin Granath brings more than two decades' experience in sales and management at leading traditional and emerging media companies to the Soapbox executive team. He is responsible for revenue and the strategic direction of the organization's sales and partnership efforts.

Granath has been a leader in interactive advertising and marketing since 1995, when he moved from traditional media sales to build the interactive ad sales force for ESPN.com, ABCSports.com and the official league sites of the NFL, NBA, WNBA and NASCAR. After leading this sales group for 5 years, he built national sales forces for early-stage companies, including Cars.com and Apartments.com -- joint ventures of the NY Times, Washington Post and Knight-Ridder; and WindWire, one of the earliest wireless media networks, with over 100 sites including The Wall Street Journal and the NHL.

Granath returned to ESPN in 2003 to start their Emerging Media Ad Sales group, where he was responsible for sales of all wireless, broadband, interactive television and video-on-demand products. Most recently, he headed global ad sales for ESPN's international TV, online and wireless assets across 26 networks in 190 countries.

Over the years, Granath has worked directly with many of the world's leading advertisers, including General Motors, Anheuser-Busch, Yum Brands, IBM, Miller Brewing (SAB), Home Depot, Best Buy, Daimler-Chrysler, Verizon, AT&T, Samsung, Sony Pictures and others. He has extensive experience consulting with marketers to build effective and compelling integrated marketing campaigns, and has been very active in industry groups, including two terms on the Board of the Internet (now Interactive) Advertising Bureau.

Granath started his career in television production, working with Howard Cosell at ABC Sports, during which time he won a national Emmy Award as an Associate Producer. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Middlebury College in Vermont.

Kristen Fox

Vice President of Professional Services

Kristen Fox leads Soapbox Mobile's Professional Services team where she oversees client campaign creation and execution as well as all other aspects of client support.

Prior to joining Soapbox, Fox was Associate Director, Product, for Mobile ESPN Publishing, and responsible for directing the ways in which ESPN's brand personality was communicated across its wireless licensing product strategy, marketing, messaging and sponsorships. Under her leadership, the Mobile ESPN Publishing product group aggressively developed innovative ways to increase data adoption, stimulate customer loyalty and manage the product lifecycle for wireless content.

Kristen was a driving influence and evangelist within the ESPN organization for global messaging across the brand. She has done extensive research on SMSCs, content aggregators and mobile marketing services companies.

Fox's passion for innovation and contextual communities began in 1996 while she was director of sponsorships and integrated marketing at Sony Digital Entertainment. During her six year tenure, she built one of the industry's most successful online sponsorship businesses, leveraging Sony's content assets to match consumer interests with key advertising objectives.

After Sony, Kristen worked with Small World Media, a premier fantasy game developer, and The Sporting News to reposition and differentiate their competitive sales strategy.

In 2006, Kristen was elected to the Board of Directors for the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA). She also chairs the MMA sub-committee on defining mobile video/television advertising standards on behalf of ad agencies and brands, and has spoken on numerous industry panels regarding mobile marketing and mobile advertising.

Dennis Abremski

Vice President of Product Development

Dennis Abremski, Vice President of Product Development for Soapbox Mobile, brings more than 20 years of business development, product management and engineering experience within the computer and wireless industries, to the Soapbox Mobile executive team. Abremski leads the development and management of all applications and platforms for Soapbox Mobile.

Prior to Soapbox Mobile, Abremski served as Vice President of Sales and Business Development for Zucotto Wireless, a company specializing in wireless Java technologies, where he was in charge of world-wide sales and intellectual property licensing.

Abremski also succeeded as a founder and Director of Business Development for Wireless Knowledge, a wireless enterprise solutions company. There, he was responsible for the company's product strategies and wireless carrier activities and helped launch the Microsoft/QUALCOMM joint venture. At QUALCOMM, he helped develop the US' first CDMA fast-access wireless data service and introduced the world's first Internet-enabled CDMA phone.

Abremski holds a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Digital Communications from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Duncan McLaren

Co-Founder, Vice President of Business Development & Board Member

Duncan McLaren, Vice President of Business Development for Soapbox Mobile is responsible for developing business relationships, partnerships and international strategies to enable the company to meet growth targets and support both existing and future client requirements.

While gaining his MBA, McLaren served as a consultant on business planning projects for CCAT (Center for the Commercialization of Advanced Technologies) a Department of Defense organization for which he consulted with clients ranging from the Jacobs School of Engineering at UCSD to Orincon. He also held a management position at a leading wireless messaging company, with responsibility for content acquisition.

Before his relocation to San Diego, McLaren led the youth and sports marketing consultancy he founded in London, at which he secured clients such as Honda, Tommy Hilfiger and Emap. There, he sold multi-million dollar sports sponsorships to Nike, Levis and Sega as well as negotiated the TV distribution rights for global sporting events. Formerly, McLaren served within the business development and management capacity for Internet broadcasting and e-commerce businesses.

McLaren earned his Bachelors Degree from the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom and a MBA from San Diego State University.
